Spies sure crash won?t hamper race

Ben Spies does not think his big crash in United States Grand Prix qualifying will hamper him at all in Sunday's race, despite admitting that he might have injured a heel in the accident. The Yamaha rider had a high-side at Turn 3 during qualifying at Laguna Seca. He appeared to be in discomfort just after the crash, but returned to the pits and was able to resume the session on his spare bike.
